Interesting how people don’t think through a “joke” until it teeters upon the edge of ruining someone’s life…
Diana has a little to say about the flip side of this trend in the blog.

Momur sounds a lot like my dad when he talks to anyone who wants to go out with my sister O.o
I have to say, for a while there I was wondering if the whole animal personalities thing would be a gimmick that got in the way of the story. After this, however, I’m convinced they’re doing a great job showing inner conflict in an original fashion while providing punchlines that don’t get in the way of the plot at all.
Kudos to you for making me giggle at a dragon, good sir!
Yes! I knew you’d come through Hunter! Bad Charlie *uses mommy-voice to scold him* I love Momur’s quote. Its the same thing my husband says about our daughter.
Now to begin the wait for the next installment. I’m completely addicted!
ok this epsiode of Hot Mess made me feel better
Its so cool to see people sticking up for Anna
I wish someone had stuck up for me like that when I was in high school
No Hunter is too perfect I don’t like this
What kind of guy wouldn’t gawk at a picture like that
I do like the the picture is even before she steps out of the shower, so it’s not gross.
Love Momur’s line that was awesome!
Yet I still really fear the evil blonde girl getting a hold of the photo somehow. I guess my inner Slumper is talking to me.
quote: “What kind of guy wouldn’t gawk at a picture like that”
1. A guy who has seen someone hurt by it before.
2. A guy who knows the serious trouble it can cause.
3. Possibly a guy who cares about the person.
@Zekkles yes there are guys like that around, though we seem to be a dying breed. Alas for the loss of chivalry among today’s youth.
I remember a few years ago, high school trip to the pool, one of the girl’s one-piece swimsuits became… shall we say crooked, anyway while everyone else gawked and giggled, I told her what was wrong.
so you see we do exist.
awesome n.n
XD How is he Mr Perfect for not being a creep? I’m sure he filed it under “Things I shouldn’t have seen but am glad I did”
So we can extrapolate two things from this page and the previous one:
a) The author is a hysterical drama queen who thinks that being seen naked will RUIN YOUR LIFE FOREVER. Seriously, twenty years from now, or even a week from now, it is not going to matter that one person saw you naked. Even in the immediate short-term, if you’re attractive and it wasn’t your fault, no one is going to dislike you over it. Of course, we’ve known since the first page that Anna is insufferably mental, but based on the commentary on this page, now we know that the author is too.
b) Hunter is gay. Hahahahaha. Hilarious. I delight in the tragic irony.
Chances of AnnaxHunter = 45%.
-crosses fingers-
@LockeZ One person seeing it, certainly not. If Hunter hadn’t told him to delete the picture, of course, it’s quite likely it would have been spread across the school, making Anne the subject of ridicule and I’m sure no small amount of perverse advances.
To say that this would ruin someone’s life is, naturally, hyperbolic. But to ruin someone’s high school experience, possibly to the point of depression? Certainly.
Although, Hunter’s ‘perfect’ nature is a little overexaggerated. I, for one, would be quite pleased if it turned out he was gay. But since there already IS a gay male in the cast, it’s unlikely there will be any more.
Oh LockeZ…You obviously have no idea what it’s like to be a woman. Having a guy walk in on you is horrifying. Most women, yes even the attractive ones, are incredibly self-conscious about their bodies. Now having a picture taken of you without your knowledge in a vulnerable situation leaves you feeling cheap and taken advantage of.
You obviously don’t know high school girls very well either. Teenage girls, in my experience have the ability to be extremely vicious. If that picture got out, Anna would probably be labeled as “SLUT” for the rest of her high school career. Yes, I believe that in a few years she could move on, but at the time, it would suck. So in short, I don’t believe that this situation was overly dramatic.
Hunter is my kind of guy!
Is Hunter Asian? I get the impression he is ( hair colour and style ). But ( was? ) on the football team, has blue eyes and named Hunter? Most un-Asian Asian evar.
@Amy:
Yeah, no, that’s stupid. There’s no reason for anyone to think she’s a slut. She did nothing. Someone walked in on her in the shower and took a picture. He even freely admits as much. If someone tells you “I walked in on this girl taking a shower, and snapped this photo!” then you are not going to think she’s a slut, are you? Of course not. No one is. They’re just going to think he’s a perverted asshole, and possibly feel sorry for her. It’s absurd to think anyone would think less of her because she was violated.
…how exactly did he know that wasn’t his sister at the time?
and if he didn’t why would he take pictures? 0_o
he was surprised to see her and asked who she was, and through the curtain you can pretty much only tell a female silhouette…
@LockeZ Aww, more people than just Amy responded… snff…
@pseudopoiuytfgh As he mentioned, his family was eating breakfast in the kitchen. Including his sister.
