Site updates and Hot Mess goodness

Hi everyone -

Well, we’ve just hit the one month mark on our little project, and so far we could not have paid for a better response.  Thanks to all of you for checking out the site!

So we have a few things on tap, a couple of which I’ve mentioned before.  Next week, you’re going to see the first in our series of character spotlights!  We’ll also be revealing more info about our SDCC appearance.  And best of all, we’ll be having a special announcement about our first Hot Mess collection!

Please feel free to email me with any questions about the site or things you think we can do better – and you can always email Diana for any advice you may need.

Comic-Con 2010

First Crush

Hi there,

My inspiration for Anna’s first crush Hunter was based on my  first romantic interest, Charlie.  I met him when I was 15 years old. He was a year older than me, super cute, and the star athlete.  The first time I saw him the ability to speak ceased to exist.  I only saw him.  Charlie, on the other hand, was clueless about my feelings.  It took many weeks before I ever decided to approach him.  (Oh yeah and I may have joined track to just be in his company.  Bad idea.)  Did it go smoothly?  Well, stick around to see what happens….

Now You Can Email Us!

Hi Gang,

Like I said it’s a big week.  Read below for Diana’s first blog, and soon we’ll have her own page up and running, and as you see above, there’s a brand new strip.

But more importantly, we’ve just set up our emails!  Not that you’ll want to email me, as I am uninteresting, but you can if you want (geoff@hotmesscomic.com).

But even better, you can email Diana at diana@hotmesscomic.com with all your relationship or life questions.  And if you want to email any of the characters in our little world, they have emails too!  Just email them at their character name (like anna@hotmesscomic.com, zoey@hotmesscomic.com, slumper@hotmesscomic.com, and so on), and I’m sure they can take time out of their busy schedules to answer.

Being a Hot Mess

Hi.    I’m Diana aka Anna aka a HOT MESS : )  For many people, high school was one of their most trying times.  I was one of the many.  There were days when I didn’t want to face my frenemy, my crush, or my Algebra teacher.  Seriously, another pop quiz on algorithms…ick!   I wish I had a manual to guide me through the sticky situations of girl on girl crime, flirting with a cute guy, or making new friends.  Well, I wanted to make my wish a reality for a new generation.  Consider my experiences your helpful reminder that we’ve all been there and that there is a solution to what may seem the biggest drama of your life.
