Hi everyone – two announcements. First is that our amazing letterer Thomas Mauer and his wife welcomed their first child into the world. A big, gigantic congratulations to the new parents! So in honor of their new arrival, we’re giving him the day off – but new comics go up next week as scheduled!
Second, we’ll be adding new content to the blog throughout the weekend – new pug post, new blog post from Diana, all good stuff; so keep checking back!

Hi Everyone! We’re happy to today welcome our new colorist, Burhan Arif of the Papillon Studios! He’s going to be a great addition to the team, and we’re happy to have him. What do you guys think? Don’t worry, though, Em will still be taking care of the art & layout – I don’t think there’d be a Hot Mess without her!

This has actually happened to me on a number of occasions. I’ve had to run out of my house or apartment, dripping wet, and hope that someone nearby can do me the very odd favor of letting me use their shower – after a very awkward conversation, of course. I think Anna got off easy with this one.

Ok, sorry, we’re back! We had to swap out the images. A few of you eagle-eyed fans saw that the word balloons were the wrong color – and you were right. We actually made this strip early on before we decided to color code the balloons, and never went back to change them. We are sheepish 
Ok, whew! We’re done with the first day of school. I think by this point you’ve met the majority of the characters (though we do have a few we can’t wait to get to – like Jonsey!), and now we’re ready to broaden the world of Hot Mess – starting with our next regularly scheduled post! See you all then!
